Hot Cocoa Station | Christmas Hosting Idea
The end of the year is my favorite time to host because I have extra excuses to decorate ultra-festive and put on a nice presentation for our guests. I wanted to have a cute self-serve hot cocoa station with festive treats for our guests and I thought it turned out so fun!
It all started with the three tier white rolling cart. I have had my eye on this rolling cart from The Container Store for years. I originally got the cart for our eco-friendly kitchen towel station, but thought right away that it would be super cute as a bar cart/hot cocoa bar for when we have guests over as well. I’ve been trying to switch to more nontoxic materials around the house, and just nicer quality items in general, so I loved that this was made of steel instead of plastic. It also goes with a bunch of different accessories you can add on to it, like covers for each shelf etc.
Once I had the cart, I looked everywhere for the perfect hot cocoa server and honestly it was hard to find good options! I finally came across this one from Target in stores and thought it was SO cute. I wanted something completely plastic-free and I loved the white and wood combo for a sleek but cozy feel. The wood plate at the bottom is just a heat pad, so you can place it as a kettle on the stove or simply fill it with a pre-heated drink. I also liked that this is easy to clean since the entire top comes off. I’ve used it twice now (once one our gas stove) and it worked great!
I love the idea of changing this up for each season with tea, lemonade, etc. but for now, here are some cozy hot cocoa snack ideas to add:
Candy Canes
Marshmallows
Cinnamon sticks (and ground cinnamon)
Coconut Flakes
Chocolate Covered Pretzels
Cookies
Vanilla Extract
