Today I’m chatting with my friend Vanessa who is a functional nutritionist specializing in women’s gut, hormones, and fatigue issues. I recently met with Vanessa for advice on getting off the birth control pill because my periods before the pill were brutal and so painful and truly ruined my life like half of each month. We like to joke that women only feel good the 1 week out of the month that they’re not ovulating, pmsing or on their period, but Vanessa taught me so much about what we can do through food to help make those periods less horrible and also we will touch on what you can do if you’re trying to balance your hormones naturally to get off of the birth control pill.
