21. How to create engaging content & turn anything into a good story: how Marissa Meizz's storytelling made a career out of one viral moment

Today i’m so excited to have my friend Marissa Meizz on as a guest who you may recognize from TikTok and her organization called No More Lonely Friends. Marissa and I met almost 6 years ago and ever since I’ve known her she has been working in entertainment and has always been a natural story teller. A little over a year ago, she went viral on TikTok over a video by @drewbdoobdoo.

Marissa capitalized on the moment, started an organization for making friends, hosts meet ups around the globe and since then has created a full lifestyle brand for herself on socials. I wanted to bring Marissa on to share her secret to great storytelling, because, as many of you have probably experienced, it’s easy to go viral once or twice but it’s a true skill to turn those moments into a lasting career.

I took away so many great tips from this episode for my own content, so I think you’ll enjoy it too if you are trying to grow your own social media, are a brand looking to work with influencers, or are interested in storytelling and content creation in general.
