Popcorn On The Cob Party FaVor Easy Craft
First, let me start off by saying that this is not an original idea to me. I saw it on Pinterest and would love to link the original source, however it’s already quite a common craft so you can find many other variations from many other creators for inspiration if you’d like to take a look!
My one twist on this craft is that I used ombre green to white tissue paper. which I think gives it a hint of realism, the way an actual corn cob is sort of green fading into white at the bottom.
All that to say, I wanted to keep this on the blog as storage of a cute idea. I think this popcorn on the cob tissue paper craft would make for a great party favor and looks so festive on display for a fall party. Here’s how you do it:
SUPPLIES:
Popcorn (I love the brand Lesser Evil in their flavor “Oh My Ghee”
Zipblock Bags
Light Green (or green to white ombre) Tissue Paper
Scotch Tape
Twine or Yarn
Crate or Basket
Straw for a fun extra detail
INSTRUCTIONS
Fill a zipblock bag about 2/3 full of popcorn and arrange the popcorn on a sort of diagonal in the bag. Fold back the extra empty corners and tape them in place so you’re left with that corn cob shape.
Place the popcorn cob in the corner of the tissue paper and tape it in place.
Fold each side into a deep v around the front of the cob.
Twist the excess tissue paper at the bottom and fold it underneath so it comes up the back of the cob.
Tie a piece of yarn or twine around the twist at the bottom.
Floof the excess tissue paper and fold it out to the sides a bit to look more realistic, like a peeled cob.
Place the cobs in a basket or crate to display, and add some straw into the gabs for a fun final detail.
